A Glendale Arizona police officer whose name was not released to the public answered an emergency call on Wednesday July 16 when a dog fell inro a canal and the poor dog could not get out of the canal on their own power. The police officer took off his shoes and jumped into the canal which is located near 77th Lane and Georgia Avenue. The police officer was able to rescue the dog and its owner who is grateful for the officer rescuing the pet. How did the dog wind up in the canal is not known, Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/,,,

It was good that the Police Officer went above the call of duty to rescue a pooch like that. Some Police officers would not do that. I had one here once, with shiny shoes on, albeit a detective, who refused to walk across a muddy area of my property to dust the window for prints after a break-in, as he said he did not want to dirty his shoes.

That is terrible that a detective did not want to dirty his shoes to dust your windows for fingerprints.

You’d expect a detective to be focused on the case, not on keeping their shoes clean.

I am sure that the owner of the dog must have lost him by accident.

The dog looks pitiful, I bet if the police officer will allow it that dog will stay closed to him.

Poor doggy I am glad he was rescued, It is at times like this I wish the dog could find his voice and let them know how it happened in case someone threw him in,

That is true that if only dogs could talk when they are in trouble.

What a heartwarming story. It’s great to see that kind of compassion in action, even when the cause of the mishap remains a mystery.

I'm betting the dog saw something in the water and jumped in to get it. Lucky the cop was there or the dog might have drowned seen as it could not get out of the water by itself
