Anthuriums

Anthuriums are ideal for making flower arrangements Just a flower with a couple of leaves can produce the most exotic flower arrangement.
Anthuriums remain fresh on the plant for several days and so also in a flower arrangement. They are expensive.
I have the pink colour although I also had the red and orange.
I lost them because I did not repot them at the right time. Anthuriums need some attention specially they demand repotting.

This reminded me of my mother, who had a deep love for this plant and maintained a beautiful collection of it at home. Whenever I visited, she would share stories about them and proudly recount her success in making them bloom or propagating new ones in pots. Sadly, they are all gone now. After she passed away, there was no one to continue caring for them.

@allknowing Yes, it was my father who ended up taking care of it. But I think he doesn’t really know much about it and just waters them when the weather gets dry. Then, after a while, he got into a relationship, and the property was left unattended.

Sorry that you lost your anthuriums and didn't repot them when needed. I love flowers especially little ones like these but I have no luck keeping them alive so I have to enjoy other peoples gardens.

@allknowing My Mom kept her plants in a room where the morning sun first entered. It was once the bedroom of my grandmother. The apartment of my mother was very large, we were a family of 7 when my Dad bought that apartment.

Anthuriums get suckers. I have multiplied the pink anthuriums by planting these suckers.

The name of your plants reminds me of "Atreyu" one of the character in the "never Ending Story" I really love that movie, and I have a crush on Atreyu when I was little, but I think I still have a crush on him. Lol!
