For me moussaka is just the best. To do it the Greek way lamb is used but I have taken to using lentils instead and it works - for me anyway.
I enjoy cutting up and frying copious quantities of aubergines, leaving it tender and saturated with good olive oil and herbs. Layers of tomatoey lentils and aubergine - what’s not to like?
I add ricotta and nutmeg to the béchamel and when it comes out of the oven I let it stand for 10 minutes or so and just look at it with pleasurable anticipation.
Then I call the family and in a few minutes it’s gone.

Sounds tempting!! And NP doubts, it is gone in minutes
. I would often say that preparing the meal and cleaning after takes so much of time. And you eat and finish everything in 10 minutes

I love a good pork roast and sauerkraut. The smell while it's cooking is heavenly.
