Teeter totter weather: does anybody know what a teeter totter is these days? Anyway, we'll have hot July weather for about three days then it heads to the 70's. Then we'll do that again. We're enjoying sunshine today. Hubby actually went to the pool this morning. I am so glad I figured out where I stuck his flip flops. He has a hard enough time walking on hard concrete. He doesn't need to stub a toe. We put in about forty minutes in the nicely warm water. Yesterday wasn't particularly fun. I paid a hard worker quite a chunk of change to fix our leaky outside faucet. He had a hard time doing it cause the pipes from way back when were thicker! He had to do some retro work getting modern fittings to work on those pipes. The super not nice time was the Vet telling me that she had an opening for Beau Teak. Bring in my Siamese. So I did. My heart still wails when I write this. Beau came back home with me. He is alive and begging for more food. He looks so soft and chubby cause he is eating canned kitten chow. But oh glory he is coughing because he has fluid in his lungs and on his heart. The Vet prescribed pills to hopefully lessen the congestion. He breathes from his abdomen not his chest and that is where the coughing comes in. He is trying to breathe and not have a kitty heart failure issue. I also paid for a thryoid test cause of his gobbling food. That could be adding to the fluid. It will be a few days before we know the results of the test. Beau sleeps by my head at night. I feel him reach for me in the night. Of course I am never ready to let go BUT must figure out what quality of life is for him. He still bullys the other cats and demands food. He has had one pill. He will get another tonight.
