I doubt that Pope Leo actually ate the pizza

Pope Leo XIV is the Catholic church's first American pope. He is from the Chicago area. He loves the Chicago White Sox baseball team and, well, apparently Aurelio's pizza.
Recently he was touring St. Peter's Square in Vatican City and greeting people when he saw someone with a sign that said "We have Aurelio's pizza". There was a challenge issued about a month ago to get one to him. One guy picked up a frozen one, passed it off to a woman who was traveling to Rome, and then it was passed along to the Pope as he went through the square. There are pictures of him pointing toward the sign with a huge smile on his face.
His brother has said that the Pope "devoured" the pizza. Yeah I don't buy it. He may reeeeeeeeeeeeeally have wanted to but I can't imagine his staff would allow him to eat a pizza from across the world delivered by a stranger. You'd think they would be afraid that it could be contaminated or laced with poison.
It was a nice thought but I highly doubt that he ate it. What do you think?

I seriously doubt it... Even if it was kept frozen all the way there. I agree that his bodyguards probably wouldn't let him eat anything from a stranger in a crowd. Too much chance that it's been poisoned by someone who didn't like the idea of an American Pope.

Interesting but I agree with you, Then again perhaps a member of staff had a piece and when he lived the Pope had some too,

His brother would say that.
I don't believe it.
Wouldn't he have a food taster to make sure he wasn't poisoned
