Fried Saba for Breakfast

Yesterday, I bought a bunch of bananas from the supermarket in the mall downstairs. There were a bit ripened but when I woke up this morning almost all of them were already yellow, signaling to fry them already. I took some of them from the bunch, peeled of and fried. So there, I had some fried bananas for breakfast along with, of course, a cup of coffee.

How did you fry them? In butter or breaded? I was telling someone else on myLot a little while ago that I watched a friend on video making chicken adobo and how delicious it looked when he was eating it. I still wish you'd come here and make that for me. I bought two big bunches of bananas yesterday at the shopping center... But I like them still slightly green. I like the flavor of them then. (We always buy two bunches so Pretty can have some ripe and I can have some still green. )

Buy me a ticket and I'll go there to fry you some delicious bananas for breakfast. It fried them using cooking oil but you can also fry them with butter. It will also be delicious.

@Neil43 I'll try that in the morning... I don't know if Pretty will eat it, though. I don't know if I'll like it, either. If I could afford to fly you here, I would do it.

@DaddyEvil I like mine with just a tinge of green left on them. I don't care for ripe bananas.

I have never thought of frying a banana. Although I have had banana fritters sometimes when we are out ….i have bananas and custard but I just peel them and slice them.

Saba bananas and plantains are good for frying. When I am Jeddah, I usually buy Indian bananas, which I think are plantains. I am not sure though. But they a bit more expensive than other types of bananas. This Indian banana tastes really good.

Those look tasty. I usually fry the half ripened plantains - not bananas. We usually boil green bananas . When they become fully ripe we peel them and eat them.

Plantain is similar to this variety of banana called saba banana in some tropical countries like the Philippines.

Are those bananas or plantains? I have never heard of frying a banana.
