The photo shows a quirky entry into a shed. It’s a rabbit-trap which has been ‘set’. When the trap is on the ground and if a rabbit were to tread on the plate, the jaws would trap the rabbit’s leg. Not a humane thing at all. But it’s funny in this context, suggesting whoever seeks entry is going to get his fingers trapped. We’re going to a concert this afternoon but the weather is foul with strong winds and bursts of rain. If we hadn’t already bought our tickets we’d probably stay home.

It looks like the trap is welded open. I'd still be leery about pushing the trap release on it. Be careful, please. I do hope the concert is a good one, though. Edit to add: I was just looking at the movies available to watch and saw one I've seen before called Bilby. It's a kids' movie. Have you seen it? It was really cute.

I don't see any welding... but yeah, use caution, or at least a stick...

@BarBaraPrz See that little arch in the bottom of the tap plate? That arch isn't there on a normal trap.

The rain has eased off at last but the night of the concert it was very wet and very cold.

Personally, I don't find anything funny about animal trapping. Hope the concert was good.

The concert was great, thanks. The main guy was Brazilian and the drummer and bassist were friends of our Irish son. They'd all done their training together about 30 years ago.

@JudyEv I agree those are inhumane.

I don't know if they're banned here but I haven't seen any for sale for a very long time. Most traps are pretty inhumane.

The concert was great thanks. It was a very small venue and once everyone was in and the doors were shut, it wasn't too cold.

I'm sure it's been rendered harmless but a real one could take your finger off quite easily.

I'd be wary of pressing that 'doorbell'! Hope the concert is good and the weather isn't too inclement.

The weather wasn't good but we drove into the city rather than taking the train. We enjoyed the concert and were glad we went.

Not a service animal or human would appreciate. . Couldn't you get a refund for the tickets? Could be dangerous going out in bad weather.
