What a Way To Start My Day

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a bright and sunny day with decent temperatures. It's not disgustingly hot today but it's warm and pleasant.
My day was off to a crazy start. I know I mentioned going to the orthopedist on Friday for my knees and in addition to getting steroid shots for the pain he recommended in home physical therapy.
They contacted me over the weekend to set up an appointment with the physical therapist for Tuesday. Okay by me.
My phone rang around 10am and the physical therapist said she would be arriving by 11am for my appointment. Well, I certainly didn't expect to see her today but since i really had no plans I just decided to let her come and not mention that I was expecting the appointment tomorrow.
I hate surprises but figured it was just better to get it over and done with.
She arrived right on time, sat down to do her intake information only to find out that in home PT isn't covered by my insurance unless I'm home bound. I'm definitely not home bound but do have my limitations and struggles. The only way physical therapy is covered is if I "go" to physical therapy. What a waste of time for me and her.
But, at least I know that's my next step and now I have the rest of my day to do what I want.
I would have thought that the doctor would have known that in home PT wasn't covered for my needs but it is what it is.
So, that's how my day started and hopefully the rest of the day will go smoothly.

That surprises me that they don't know. I figured he wouldn't have suggested it if he knew it wasn't covered. Oh well, I know now

That was indeed a waste of time for both of you.
We are having very heavy rain and thunderstorm these two days. Flooding in some areas. According to the forecast, rain will continue tomorrow.

@Marilynda1225 No, it's not due to typhoon. It's due to an active southwest monsoon and upper-air disturbances. But a typhoon is developing nearby. The movement is still uncertain. But it may affect Hong Kong.

I hope the therapy will be good and help you when you do get to go Marilyn.
Sorry that didn't work the at home kind..that would have been nice.
Yes not a bad day so far thanks. but tons to do as usual.

I'm sorry things didn't go smoothly for you this morning. I hope the rest of your day is relaxing and peaceful.
Yup! Errands are all done for the day and the neighbor already finished our yard before we got home.

My day went well even though it started off by disrupting my coffee and myLotting time.
Glad you got your errands done and that the neighbor did your yard. Sounds like a good day for you

Hope that storm doesn't cause much trouble.
Yeah it was a surprise to me that the doctor didn't know that the home visit wouldn't be covered by insurance. No way am I paying

That's a shame. I hate going out for PT. My day is OK. Trying to catch up here. Both cousins are coming today. Yay! They can work on my endless list.
