Turn it Off and Back On

Holy frogs! I tried to call out yesterday and again today. My phone ended the call immediately both times. I called on my grandson and he checked settings in every area we could think of. No call. I thought that Tracfone had stopped our service for some unknown reason. What the heck. We still had 7 more months. And, it's difficult to call service if the phone doesn't work. I needed to get the grandson's prescription called in. He can't go without it. Finally, as a last attempt he had me turn it off and back on, and said to call him if it still didn't work. Okay! It worked! I had to laugh. Is that(turn it off and turn it back on) going to go down in the annals of time as the fix it step for EVERYTHING?

I had to do that with my phone today... Sometimes it "loses touch" with the closest tower and can't re-establish contact unless you turn it off and back on (restart). I don't know why it happens but that's been the "normal" fix for that problem for years and years.

It seems to work for so many other situations too.

@celticeagle True, computers and tablets can often be "fixed" by shutting them off and turning them back on again.

It’s funny how often that simple step works when nothing else does.

Seems to always be the answer about 9 times out of 10.

I know it is recommended where I go for phone service to power down your cell phone once a week or so. I do that every Sunday, or I will forget to.
