There is one clinical studies group that is located in Charlottesville. I did a couple of studies for them back in the day...but as of late they are really nutty and incompetent. They are using this recruiting center now..which asks a ton of questions and may or may not allow you to "pass" the screening...but even if they schedule you for an appointment or say they will pass you on to the scheduler..they will tell you the study is closed or some such thing. It is super ridiculous. They just want to keep you in their database or something. Now, if it was once, or even twice I could forgive this, but this happened like 4 or 5 times. The other thing they have done is not have the study drug in place when it is time for you to go in..so you can't go because of that. It is absurd. I spent an extensive amount of time talking to them about a week ago, and they scheduled me to come in for the 13th saying I passed the screening, then I got a call from the site..wanting to re interview saying they didn't want to waste my time. I told them they already had. She wanted to interview me again, and I was not going to do that all over again. I told them I would call before I came..but I feel inclined not to as the screener pays 125, which I would be cheated out of if I wasn't found eligible on the reinterview. I am inclined just to show up and get paid the 125. I would call first to see if I am still scheduled though. However, if I don't get in this..I am going to ask they not call me again. This is the most unprofessional, disorganized place I have ever seen. They care nothing about wasting anybody's time.
