There is a show on Netflix that I really find charming and delightful. That is the only way I can describe it. This show follows a group of young adults who have been diagnosed at some point with autism as they meet fellow people diagnosed with autism for dates, hoping as we all do it will lead to marriage or a permanent connection down the road. One couple was talking about having children, of course the chances are pretty high they would also have a child with autism, but who better to be able to cope with it really?
The show is really good, although most of the people are atypical in that they are upper middle class at a minimum and enjoy strong family support, so they would be apt to be successful with whatever they choose to do.

I am watching a series called Match Me Abroad. One of the participants is on the spectrum. He is high functioning but does have some challenges. He is trying to find a wife abroad.

It's a really different show, and the people they put on it are very unique.

No more than otther shows of that ilk. There are dozens of them. They are under no obligation to participate.

@snowy22315 Reality TV is a huge reason why we don't subscribe to any TV system.

We had a similar show dealing with Australian young adults. It had the same name. Like you, I found it delightful and quite educational too, giving me more insight into autism. One of the contestants impressed the TV station so much he is now the lead in a sitcom called Austin.

Yes, I think you are right, most of the successful marriages of each couple were with the support of the families of both parties. I watched a documentary about it decades ago, and it was cool. Anyway, I haven't seen the film you just mentioned here.
