What would you do?

Imagine you're walking through a busy part of your city when a lost tourist approaches you, clearly confused and struggling to communicate in your language.
They're holding a crumpled map and looking for a popular landmark, but seem overwhelmed by the noise and pace around them. Would you stop to help, even if you were in a rush? What factors would influence your decision?
Is it your mood, the tourist’s demeanor, or your familiarity with the area? How far would you go to assist? Would you offer directions, walk with them, or call someone for help? What does your response say about you?

I would do my best to help him. Because I have been a tourist with a map and I have been helped with people who look like they know where to go and they are busy.

Depending on how much time I had, I would try to put them in the right direction.

If I were in that situation, I’d definitely help the tourist to the best of my ability—especially if I were in a popular tourist spot where visitors are expected and welcomed. Even if I were in a rush, I’d take a moment to ease their confusion by pointing out the landmark on their map and giving simple, clear directions they could easily follow. Sometimes, just a bit of patience and clear guidance is all it takes to turn a stressful moment into a pleasant part of someone’s travel story.

@Jenaisle I think that's the least you can do to help a lost tourist, especially if you know the location they’re trying to find. That’s what I would do as well, but if I’m not familiar with the place, I would politely decline and let someone else assist them.
