How lazy can you be? Driving to the pool

Don't get me wrong--I can be lazy as hell. Hey I pay someone to come clean my apartment every 2 weeks because I have no interest in dealing with that. I acknowledge my flaws and at least recognize them. What is crazy to me though is people who drive to the pool. There are 6 courts in this apartment complex. At least 4 buildings on each one. It isn't a small place but nor is it ginormous. I happen to live in the building directly next to the management/maintenance office where the pool is. It is literally a 1 minute walk even if I am stopping at the dumpsters to take out the trash. My friend in the next building over. . . 30 seconds farther than I am drives over there with her daughter. I'd get it if she was an infant and had a ton of gear she had to transport but the daughter is 8. There is no legitimate reason to drive there. Another friend's wife insists on driving over. Their walk would be maybe 2 minutes. Today that friend had been running errands and then did a drive-by to see who was there. She pulled up and came to the pool. Okay I get that. She was already out. But to drive to the pool from your apartment? I just don't get it.

With so many driving over, you would question how close they actually get a parking spot to the pool entrance, and if they are going to have to walk anyways......why not start from their own door?

That is hilarious. It reminds me when I first started college. I went to my sister’s dorm room and asked if she wanted to walk to class with me. She said no, she was driving. Our dorm was literally a minute walk over a small bridge that connected our dorm to the main campus. Uh, no.

THe idea is to get some excersize while heading for the pool, That is crazy to drive over, Someone deserves to have a movie scene with their car flying into the pool but then you would probably never get back into it,

I don't get it either. It seems so unnecessary.

That's funny. To each his own I guess.

I guess some people just default to the car no matter the distance.

That just makes me think of this (I had it in my mind that it was a Far Side cartoon, but maybe it was an actual real photo!)

I could understand driving if it were somewhat further than that, but that's super close. I know a lady who drives from one store to another in a strip mall--and the stores are next door to each other. Insanity.
