Hey everyone, I meant to post this last week, but I forgot until I just came across this photo on my cell phone.
Halloween candy is out in stores here in my area. Has it hit your stores yet?
This photo was snapped at Dollar General. they have a good supply for this location, which is tucked away on a rural highway. They had a ton of Valentine's Day candy left over and it was reduced to as low at $.15 a bag. I'll keep my eye out on this supply and see if it also doesn't sell.
What is your favorite Halloween candy? Mine is Butterfingers Snack Size.

I don't see a pic. I don't go into stores; so I don't know. I would imagine that they are all stocked for Halloween already. They hope you will buy candy now, eat it and have to buy more. I like candy corn and chocolate. My favorite candy is jelly beans; but that's not until Easter.

I had to revise the photo. It was too large. You are right on buying, eating, and having to go buy more! I wonder how many time the average person does that and has to restock?
I like candy corn too! Probably my favorite out of the specific Halloween only candy!

@kareng I like the harvest mix even better. Chocolate, maple, banana flavors in cats, pumpkins, etc. shapes.

@JudyEv That makes sense. Halloween is so different now days here from when I was a kid growing up. It was always a fun family adventure back then and now you have to be on alert for razors and things in all the candy the kids are given. It's very sad.

A week or two before a holiday is too early to see candy for that holiday, in my opinion! Walmart stocking holiday candy months before the holidays killed my holiday spirits!

No picture. I seen it here a few weeks ago. They are pushing the holidays earlier every year

@wolfgirl569 We have several rows at our Walmart. I was in there again today. But it was also out there last week at our store.

I noticed a display of Halloween candy at our local grocery store yesterday while I was there. Crazy how it's out so early. Do they really think people will buy it now and hold on to it until Halloween? I would eat it all after seeing it sit in my pantry for a day or two. Oh, wait....maybe that's what they're hoping people will do, so that they will have to come back and buy more!

Some stores started pushing the Halloween decorations and candy in July here. Good grief! With chocolate so high in price already, buying endless bags of those little chocolate bars is going to get really expensive, really fast!!

@MarieCoyle Right! The good candy will dwindle down again. I remember doing that when my kids were smaller and we realized that we didn't even know most of the kids coming to our house. I would make bags for the kids we knew were coming and leave them inside for them so the other kids did not see them or know about them.

With prices what they are now for chocolate, I would think many will not be buying those little chocolate bars to give away--but hey, I've been wrong before!
