The heavens just opened upp and we just got a big storm. The other reason I am glad I went out when I did was some garden freebies were out. This one neighbor has a prodigious garden and every year he offers free produce. So, glad I was able to snag some because everytime I go by his little givecaway table it has been gone.Happyvwith m haul l. Do your neighbors give produce away too?

We had a gentle rain during the night. It didn't help cool things down, though. Nope. I don't think any of our neighbors have a garden.

I think most probably grow something, but they don't have a big garden like this man or lady does.

@snowy22315 Maybe so... We're the next-to-the-last house on our street and live right off the main highway through our city. I have no reason to drive down the street for anything so don't know for sure what the neighbors on down the street have/do. I can't see any gardens from our house/porch/yard but that doesn't mean none of them have something growing. The neighbors right around us don't though. We used to grow green onions, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and yellow pear tomatoes but haven't grown anything food-wise in two or three years.

I am not sure where these people have their garden, you can't see it from the street..obviously in their backyard, but it must be pretty good sized...seems to yield lots every year.

I don’t think my dad’s neighbors do, but Diana’s Sister-in-law gives away apricots from her tree, and my dad’s friend gives them free eggs.

Last year my neighbor had a bunch of free eggs, which I turned down because I have an egg allergy. She’ll probably charge $2 an egg this year. Glad you beat the rainstorm. I made it home ahead of one as well yesterday.

Almost all my neighbors or in the neighborhood there's no garden. If we want or need veggies we buy them in the market.

That's excellent. You should make something from the garden produce and give it to them as a gift. I have written Thank you notes to the one who shares the wealth here. I don't get enough to make anything major.

I am glad you did not get a shower from the storm. Yes, all my neighbors gave produce away. I also did when I had too much.

@snowy22315 We expect heavy rain around 6 pm, this will help to lower the temperature.

we had some very strong winds yesterday and some very heavy showers. I haven't measured the rain yet.

That's nice that you get free produce. I hardly know any of my neighbors. We are quite far apart.
