The Rest

Are taking their time. Number 4 chick did hatch. But the rest are still hiding in the shells. I won't give up on them until around Friday.
Lunch was good. I had salad, spaghetti, garlic bread and cookies. It was a very relaxed time with lots of talking.
We did the green beans when we got home. I had 21 pints but one broke. Still 20 for a few dollars is great. I didn't pick tomatoes or cabbage. I might grab the cabbage when I go out in a little bit.
I don't need to water tonight. We had a couple of more showers this afternoon. That kept the temperature down a little bit.

No good rain here for the last 2 weeks! It goes all around us. We have had a drizzle or too, but nothing heavier!
Our garden never got planted all the way, and what did get planted wasn't cared for. I did manage to get a couple of squashes out of it, but that is all. Hopefully, next year will be better and no 9 week rash ordeals!!

If the chicks have started hatching, dad always helped them break out of their shells. He said it was better to help them than let them wear themselves out.
We had no chance of rain today but it was cloudy and nasty looking since early this morning. It started storming around 5:30 pm. The temp dropped by 5 degrees.

I helped the last one but don't think it will make it. Most pop out pretty quickly on their own.

Hoping that the others hatch soon.
I am still picking my cherry tomatoes ….we have loads this year …some are very green and I am thinking I am going to have to be making green tomatoe chutney if they don’t all ripen.
