New York Police Department (NYPD) officers answered an emergency call on Monday July 14 when a Pit Bull dog named Perry was seen wandering on the elevated subway train tracks in Queens New York near the Beach 60th Street station.
The police were able to rescue Perry who would have been either been rubbed out or seriously injured by a subway train on the tracks.
After the dog was rescued, Perry was taken by the NYPD to the Animal Care Centers of New York City.
The police are trying to find out if someone abandoned the dog on the subway train tracks since Perry was underweight at the time he was caught by the police,

Poor animal. I hope they fire the owner if they find him/her. Some people shouldn't have pets.

The dog was likely abandoned by his owner.

Poor Perry. Someone needs to adopt him, fatten him up and give him lots of love.

I know what you mean since the dog needs to have a new home.

Hopefully he gets the care he needs now and maybe even finds a loving home soon.

I hope so as well since all dogs are wonderful pets regardless of their breed.

That is true since subway tracks have electrical tracks that can rub out a human or animal if they touched the wire.

That seems to be a major rescue operation for the dog, with 4 police officers there, and maybe there was some disruption to the trains running there too. It was good the dog was captured.

Most likely what happened that the subways were on hold when the dog was on the tracks.
