Employees of the Little Rock's Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) named Stewart Uzzell and his partner were getting inside their ambulance early Sunday morning July 13 when they saw a small raccoon running down the side of a road with a can stuck on its head. After the paramedics caught the raccoon, they had to use a ring cutter and specialized shears to remove the can of soup from its head, the raccoon tan away happy that the raccoon was able to breathe once again. The paramedics named the raccoon Campbell after the soup can company. Link is upi.com/6911752766790 via @upi

I like how the paramedics jumped in without hesitation and used their own tools to save the raccoon.. almost like an animal 911 call. And naming it Campbell after the soup can is both fitting and funny.

At least, they could not get bitten while the can was in place, and I hope they were careful as they removed it too, as the raccoon would have been fearful as to what was going on, unless it realised that it was being helped. Raccoons carry many virus's, and diseases, so without gloves on that guy in the picture took a risk there, I think.

You are right that the emergency workers who saved the raccoon needed to be careful removing the can from the head of the animal due to the diseases on him,

Big respect to the paramedics for taking the time to help the poor raccoon. Campbell is the perfect name for him.
