One of my Dad's favourites was tomatoes on toast ....
No thank you
Most people like beans on toast
No thank you
I hate soggy toast
I will , however, eat beans by the side of toast.
Even when we eat out and we have a cooked breakfast I always have to have my toast separate.
I can't be the only one in the world to hate the texture and taste of soggy toast can I ?

We don't have a toaster. The last toaster I had Pretty took to college with her 20-something years ago. I only see toast when we go out for breakfast. I just want butter on my toast.

@Traceyjayne I used to eat strawberry preserves on my toast back when. I will eat strawberry preserves in a sandwich once in a great while now.

@DaddyEvil we used to have jam on toast as a treat when it was someone's Birthday in the nursery I worked in. Before then I had never had ham on toast ....I liked it. The children loved it.

I like best butter on mine.
Sometimes I have marmalade too.

@traceyjayne Tomatoes on toast? That’s a bit of an unsettling thought.

@Traceyjayne Toast ought to be left to crisp up without going totally cold, then butter may be applied and ginger marmalade. A pot of tea to go with.

@xFiacre I like orange marmalade. I used to have grapefruit marmalade but I can't have that now.
I don't drink tea .. so fresh orange juice or coffee for me.
