Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 71 degrees F and cloudy here at the Jersey Shore. It is not expected to get any warmer or sunnier today. Ugh. I slept until like 9am today. Not sure why but I'm not complaining. I actually ate something for breakfast which is a first since Saturday night. So far it looks like it will stay down. *crossing fingers* I want to go over to the pool despite the clouds and the fact that the water will be cold. I need to relax after some really rude texts I received yesterday from family. I just want to float around on the pool mat. The problem is I am waiting on maintenance to show up. I normally don't care if they come in when I'm not around but I want to describe the dishwasher issue and also show them the busted shelves in the cabinets. So who knows if I will be able to get over there. In the meantime I'm going to make browned butter and bourbon blondies. I have to drop off cigars at the house for my ex and I like to leave a treat too. He loves bourbon. I don't drink it but I have some on hand because each fall I make Alton Brown's aged egg nog (delish! but very boozy). I flipped through many of my cookbooks and baking books last night before settling on that because I already have all of the ingredients on hand. What's everyone else up to today?
