Got my garden watered this morning.

My tall sunflower is still blooming. The other one is folding in on itself. I have a couple of others trying to make it, but I doubt they'll survive my trip to Montana. They would be best served if I could water them any day. How does your garden grow?

You could always ask some of your little friends to water them for you while you're gone... Just make sure you ask the parents as well as the child(ren).

@TheHorse That's too bad. I guess you'll just have to ask one of your grownup neighbors and hope they don't forget. (I suggested one of the kids because kids will keep asking to water again and, usually, won't let an adult forget.)

@TheHorse We had a good crop of ochroes this summer - like we picked around 12 or more dozen every other day. Then there is French thyme, basil mint , pumpkin and string beans.

We FINALLY got some heavy rain yesterday. Maybe my flower garden will perk up. Right now it's pretty sad.

I water if I have to, when we just don't get enough rain--we are either feast of famine on the rain thing this summer. Most generally, I try to water in the evenings. This year, for some reason we had a ton of bunnies around here that love to eat garden plants. I had to replant some things several times. That's just how it goes. But things are looking some better now, I am glad.

Not good, I just picked two small tomatoes that are the size of cherry tomatoes, and they are not cherry tomato plants!

Surprisingly, not doing too badly. The tomatoes are starting to ripen, some thinks need cutting back, and the nasturtiums are looking a little sickly. I don't know if it's from not enough water or too much water (I'm thinking the latter).

Mine are all doing okay at the moment. Probably because they get rain periodically at the moment.

I water the garden during the week as The Mister works away but he takes over at the weekend. When we are on holiday our neighbours help out.
