Springville Police Officers answered an emergency call on Saturday August 9 when a male coyote had his paw stuck on a tree. A female police officer and her partner managed to remove the paw from the crepe myrtle tree while being careful not to be bitten by the coyote as well as not harming the animal. The coyote was released from the tree after two minutes after the police officers were able to rescue the animal. How did the coyote had his paw stuck on the crepe myrtle tree is not known. I know what you mean the coyote was in need of being free after having a paw stuck on a tree.

Coyotes are real go getters, and he may have found something edible on the tree. I'm glad he was able to be rescued without incident.

Perhaps, the coyote was just curious, but it was a rather dumb thing to do, and let's hope it has learnt its lesson not to place its paw in such places again.
