A bald eagle that was seen in the Grand River in Lake County in Ohio needed to be rescued by deputies of the Lake County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol on August 16.
The Marine Patrol deputy picked up the bald eagle that was found afloat on the river and took the eagle to dry land so that the eagle could rest and recover.
The eagle is grateful that the marine patrol came to assist it in their time of need.

Bald eagle? From the photos it looks either young or female. It doesn't have the "bald eagle" look.

Maybe the source of the story made an error with the bald eagle look.

The poor bald eagle. Here in Idaho we have a place called the World Center of Birds of Prey. It helps birds like this. A person can go and visit the center too. They have tours and they also have experts who talk about the eagles, owls, falcons and etc. It's a wonderful place.

I am sure that the eagle got curious seeing a body of water during the flight or was tired from flying.

Perhaps, the bald eagle lost a few more hairs, in that situation too. It was in dire straits, it seems, if it wasn't rescued, and it was good that the deputies acted quickly to save it.
