Which is Right?

I have a little jar of President's Choice shrimp sauce in the refrigerator from Loblaws.
Since it was getting low, I picked up another little jar at a competitor's grocery store, Sobeys, under their brand name.
Both jars are the same size when I held them bottom to bottom.
Both jars are labelled to contain 250 mg of sauce.
Very comparable until you look at the size of the jars.
The Compliments (Sobeys) brand jar is taller.
So many online topics have surrounded Loblaws being guilty of incorrect labelling on their products-their own President's Choice brand. Potato chips are a favorite for online complaints, as the contents never are correct.
I think that I found another item on their list of products not labelled correctly. I will have to research how to bring this to their attention.
It does lead me to wonder what else printed on the label is incorrect-that could lead to serious consequences for those with food allergies.
I just would like to know which jar actually holds what the label states it does.

I have always been curious to see if "what you see is what you get". Often I get my scale down, I empty a jar in a container and weight the content. It is a serious crime crime in Switzerland to cheat on the declared content on a label, but it happened once, I set an email to the company, I received plenty of free products, their apologize and they corrected the label. For what concerns the already packed fruits and vegetables, I put on the scale in the store before adding to my cart.

The jars are the same diameter.
I have to search to find a way to contact their corporate office.
I mean if the contents part of the label is incorrect, is the ingredient information on the label accurate or even the best before date.
It raises alot of questions in my mind, and I wouldn't have thought about them had I only shopped at Loblaws and had nothing to compare it to.
The funny thing is the shorter bottle is about a dollar more than the taller one.

That's sad if you can't trust the label

Interesting. My biggest complaint is companies reducing the size of the product and still charging the same amount.

The only thing I can think of is that the glass on the taller jar might be thicker and thus displace some product. Only way to know for sure is after the jars are empty, measure how much water or something else each jar holds.
