Marshmallow Icing.

I like this kind of icing. I like this better than buttercream. But I find this quite difficult to make.
And yesterday I saw this cake at a local bakeshop near my daughter's school. Yes, I bought it. It was a 6 inch cake and very much affordable than those cake from branded bakeshop or cafe.
I just ate one slice. Okay maybe two slices 
. I left the with my daughter so she can have dessert and that I will not eat it all.

Looks yummy. I eat cakes, but never ate one this type of icing.

I don't know if this is the same as the egg white icing... But I prefer this white icing than those buttercream icing...

I have never heard of marshmallow icing .. how would you make that?

@Traceyjayne yes, that is right. They boil the sugar before beating it with egg whites, this makes it more stable

For desserts I prefer simple flavors, in fact my favorite ice cream is vanilla or milk, and seeing this dessert with a simple topping makes me wonder why it is just the way I like it, I don't like it.The strong flavors are just perfect.

I can see that marshmallow icing is also sweet and delicious like with other icing on cakes. I think that I like to eat cheap chocolate wafers.

Do you know Betsy? I think you are. I love their Vanilla Chiffon Cake.I just bought last month, they sell it in slice for only Php 145.

I rarely ate cakes these days unless it was given by some one. Nope never had marshmallow icing.

I've never heard of marshmallow icing but would be willing to try it.

@rakski If I ever had it, I don't remember it as being any different from the buttercream icing I love. I know Walmart started putting a whipped "icing" on some of their cakes but I and a lot of other people didn't like that kind.
Walmart always set out two cakes for associates to share for birthdays at the beginning of each month in the break room and if they set out a cake with whipped topping, most of it was still there at the end of the day and got thrown away.
