Thanks to the actions of the Twinsburg Police Department and the Twinsburg Fire Department who answered an emergency call about a house on fire that started in the basement on Sunday August 17, an eight month old baby whose gender was not released was rescued by the firefighters.
The firefighters were able to rescue the baby after the police officers could not enter the home due to heavy smoke that covered the entrance of the home.
The homeowner as well as the police officers were treated for smoke inhalation on the scene of the fire.
The baby was taken by an ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and is on the way to make a full recovery/
The saving grace was that the basement room where the baby was found was protected from the fire entering the room since the door was closed;
Two dogs and six cats that belong to the owner of the home were rescued safe and sound.
The damage of the home is around $90,000 dollars. The American Red Cross is assisting the family that was in the home at the time of the fire that happened just after 12 o' clock in the afternoon.

The parents most likely ran out of the home by the time the fire started out of panic.

Smoke inhalation in those little 8-month-old lungs. I'm glad the animals were rescued too. They have little lungs as well.

They did a great job. It sucks costing house renovation that much. What is more important is that the baby is safe.

You are right about the amount of cats inside of the home.

A good result in the end as no one was badly injured, but the house has suffered some hefty damage there too, and that is a shame for the family, if they do not have sufficient insurance to cover the loss.

You are right since houses can be rebuilt. Hopefully the fire victims have insurance.
