Okay, so I tried this weird snack combo today. A combination of peanut butter and pickles, haha

Crazy, right? But honestly, it wasn’t half bad! Sometimes the strangest combos turn out surprisingly good. What’s the weirdest food mashup u've ever tried? I’m curious if I’m totally alone in this...

My first wife ate weird food combinations when she was pregnant... Of course, I didn't eat any of them. 
What's weird to me may not be weird to you, though. I certainly wouldn't have eaten pickles and peanut butter... But that's because I don't like pickles or peanut butter (unless the peanut butter is in candy
).

Haha, gotta love those pregnancy cravings doing their own thing! Pickles and peanut butter sounds like a next-level combo for sure

@ardeliaputri2 My first wife also wanted to eat Mexican food at every meal while she was pregnant, too. My daughter LOVES Mexican foods and, while I'll eat some of it, I sure don't want it every meal!

I don’t know if this is the weirdest combination I’ve ever known of, but it did seem odd to me. I spent several years in my young days in Texas and Louisiana. Everyone down there ate lots of peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. I had never heard of combining those two ingredients until we lived in the south. I recall learning it was something that southerners ate during the depression and it continued to future generations. But it did seem very strange to me. It still does.

I tried it but it just didn't taste right together. But I remember kids bringing peanut butter and mayo sandwiches to school in their lunches from home, so it really was a popular thing. But not with me or my family!
