We have a cherry tree that has tart cherries that cannot be eaten but juice can be made after adding some sugar. I have also made wine with them. They yield during the monsoon and that time they get soaked and so cannot be used. What I would love to have are those cherries that you see in the photo. We do not get them here but I have tasted them when we were living in the city - sweet and juicy Do you get those sweet cherries where you live? Image credit:

We can buy several types of delicious cherries here. I love the ones that are yellow and red (called Rainier cherries) they are the sweetest ones but they're only available for a month. I bought a bag of them a month ago. I also buy Bing cherries which look like the ones in your photo. They're sweet and delicious. Once in a great while I buy a bag of the dark sweet cherries that are only sold frozen at Walmart. They're really good, too.

@allknowing Sorry... Would you rather I lie and say we can't buy any delicious cherries here? The jealous guy is beside the sunglasses guy in the emoji box.

I have not seen these cherries here. Maybe I never tried to check them in the market.

I think the cherry trees are not suitable in the South China. They are planted in the North China. Some cheeries are important from other countries and usually they are expensive here.

My favourite cherry is the black cherry similar to the ones found in Black Forest Gateaux. I like cherry Brandy too. The area where I live has many farms & Orchards & the county is known as the Garden of England so there are always plenty of choices & varieties here.
