Earlier this year (April 28) Canada held a federal election and the leader of the opposition (Pierre Polyvirus) lost his home riding seat. Now, a normal person would take the hint and step down.
But not little PP.
He convinced the winner of "the safest Conservative riding" to give up his seat, then parachuted himself into the Battle River-Crowfoot (Alberta) riding and forced a by-election there. Which he won, August 18, despite there being over 200 candidates on the ballot (thanks to a protest group known as the Longest Ballot Committee.)
Elections Canada issued special write-in ballots — where voters simply fill in the name of their preferred candidate.
It was a nice try, but it didn't stop him, even though 52% of respondents to an Angus Reid poll find him to be insincere, and 50% would be ashamed to call him our prime minister.
He faces a mandatory leadership review in January, after his party failed to form government in the April 28 election. Fifty-four per cent of Canadians who considered voting Conservative but decided not to, want Poilievre to be voted out as party leader.
"Make it so."

Some people don't know when to stop... Just like trump here... He never should have been allowed in the first election he won and shouldn't have been eligible, as a convicted criminal, to participate in the second election he "won".
