Happy Friday! Time for the weekend, and time for the weather to cool down a little, they tell us. It’s been nice the last couple of days, and that’s a nice trend to continue! It’s nice to continue this look back at my vacation using music. Here’s one that’ll have you rockin’!
Get Out of Denver - Bob Seger
Bob Seger wrote one of my favorite lines about rock and roll: “All of Chuck’s children are out there, playing his licks.” (“Rock and Roll Never Forgets”) He proves it here, taking the sound that Chuck Berry invented and pushing the accelerator to the floor.
A fast paced song about a fast-paced event (driving into Denver to buy some pot and getting caught), this wasn’t ever a hit…but if you ever owned Live Bullet, all the neighbors heard this song when it came on. Crank it up rock and roll!

Honestly, I’m working on ballads and slow songs for next month for you so your chair doesn’t break down.

I nearly had to get out of my chair and jiggle to that one! What a beauty!
