Do You Like My New Rolls Royce

When we visited Graceland, of course we also visited the cars, boats and other rides on exhibit that Elvis owned at one time. This one was a beautiful, white Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, although I forget what year it was.
But I have always liked Rolls-Royce's, and this one was no exception. It was a beautiful car.
This one, Elvis bought from Michael Landon and the car was later sold to country music legend Charlie Rich but of course is now part of the Graceland estate again.
Granted, a Rolls-Royce may not be at all practical, but if I won the Powerball or something, maybe, just maybe, I'd get one to drive around on a special occasion even though I'd be wary about placing undue attention on myself.

I was going to say that cars like that bring too much attention from the wrong sort of people.
I admit, they're beautiful cars but not something I'd ever want.

@DaddyEvil At the same time, isn't it funny that the most stolen cars in the country are Kias and Hyundais? lol

@porwest That makes sense. Picture this: You're a poor white, black or Hispanic guy and you just stole a car. Do you think the police are going to believe you can afford a Rolls Royce or a Hyundai or a Kia?
They steal what fits them the best in their own estimation.

I have always had a fondness for Roll-Royce cars as well. It sure would be nice to own one, although I doubt they are practical for every day driving (or at least not if you don't want to call attention to yourself).
By the way, nice Orlando shirt you have on in the photo! lol

@porwest I think I agree with you on the RR. A great car, and fancy to admire, but it might not be fun to own.
And you’re right about the t-shirts here in Florida, generally good quality and cheap.

@moffittjc I can usually get three for something like $12-$20. Can't beat that.

Yeah. That's what always crosses my mind with something like this. Everyone would know you have money, and everywhere you go you might be accosted for a conversation, when all I would want to do is just have fun driving it.
It's a great car. It's a piece of art on wheels. But would I ever really want to own one? Even if I did win the Powerball? I'd have to really give that some thought.
As for the tee-shirt, I bought that on our last trip to Sanford in Orlando. Man, one thing I love about Florida besides the weather, is that you can buy tee-shirts dirt cheap. This one cost me practically nothing. And it's a great shirt.

pretty car, but white would get dirty pretty quickly.

That's a beautiful car. I'd rather have a Lexus....or a regular Toyota.
