Truck accident in Washington state leaves a mess of cherries on a highway

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) answered an emergency call on Monday July 28 when a semi truck accident overturned on Grant Road spilling cherries which caused both sides of the road to close for a few hours until cleanup crews were able to remove the crushed cherries from the highway.
It is a shame that the berries that landed on the road are no longer useful due to the semitruck accident in which thank goodness no one was seriously injured.
The road was reopened 30 minutes after the lunch hour.

Cherries! All those go to waste? That's sad. Glad no one was hurt.

Glad there were no injuries, though it's really unfortunate about all those cherries.

I also feel bad that the cherries were lost on the road in the accident.

Cleaning up spilled cherries is a very hard job indeed.

Cherries are very expensive here, and from the photo, that looks like a lot of wasted cherries.

What a waste of cherries that they couldn't recycle to give to some animal that would eat them?
