The other night, we had a video consultation with a doctor, so we will know the interpretation of the thyroid tests of hubby. Apparently, the doctor just said "I cannot see anything wrong with the test and for the small nodules on T3, you should consult an endocrinologist." Like wow. I think he explained it better than that. We were definitely not satisfied and we will see again probably wait for hubby's free time to go to the old doctor he had.

I don't know why but it seems that today the nodules are common problem. The real reasons are unknown. Usually it won't cause serious healthy problem like cancer. If they are small nodules, then it's OK. You can go to check it every 6 months. If they don't keep growing big, then you shall not be worried about it. I don't think taking any medicine can remove it or make it smaller. The surgery seems to be the only one option to remove it.

That sounds exactly how my old endocrinologist explained the nodules on my thyroid. He didn't tell me anything, just that there were lumps on the thyroid gland. This is the same specialist who claims that because he's giving me medication for my thyroid, I shouldn't be having any problems with my eyes. (My eye specialist says the endocrinologist doesn't know what he's talking about.)

@rakski Why does the medical association allow them to remain doctors when they're that bad at their job? It makes no sense! I will start seeing a new-to-me endocrinologist in November.

@rakski - Most doctors are like that now, they do not take the necessary time to explain.

He seems to be a very efficient doctor. It's good that he was so assertive, and I agree with some of the opinions here.Nodules are reproducing more often in the population and I believe that from a contemporary age

@rakski I always tell people that even when a doctor is incredible, they should always seek a second opinion just to be safe or for confirmation. I invite you to do the same, it doesn't hurt.

@rakski que Well, if you feel more comfortable, you can seek a second opinion. I always recommend that to the people around me, even to be sure of the result. I hope everything is okay.

Well, that's the issue with online consultations—doctors tend to respond briefly without explaining their reasoning. I suppose the doctor who reviewed the findings might not be an expert in that area, which is probably why they recommended consulting an endocrinologist who has more expertise on these findings.

I have thyroid issues and underwent an operation. I am now on medication. It started with weight loss and a swelling.
