Street Art in Freiburg, Germany

I’ve been going back through a lot of photos and came across some photos of street art and sculpture from Freiburg in Germany. I wrote four posts on here about our travels and included some videos of my photos. Sometime after that I stopped being able to make videos using a collection of photos. That was back in 2015. Hard to believe it was ten years ago. I quite like the toenails. And, from memory, the scissors were outside a barber’s shop. I wonder how long that shop has been there.

Great art, we also had a big foot in the garden of the art school in Switzerland, a big foot and a hand.

I wonder if they repaint the toenails once in a while? Most stuff that sits in the sun like that fades after a few years.

It was under a big bridge or road and not directly in the sun.

@JudyEv Oh, that would definitely help, at least.

Someone thought it would be unique, I guess. Which it is.

I don't really into arts but when I see one I tend to love it.

Great pix. The toenails need to be outside of a mani/pedi shop.

I wonder what happens when the barbershop becomes a bookshop or something.

Going back through photos brings back lots of happy memories ! Is the toenails scupture a pedicuring salon 's sign ?

I don't think so. I think it was under a bridge or motorway.

I enjoy taking photos of the “oddities” as well. I saw so many of those things along Route 66. I like the feet, too!

The quirky bits and pieces do attract the attention perhaps more so than something more mundane would.
