An English game is the serial I´´m watching now on TV. It is a British serial written by the same writter od Downton Abbey. And the best for me is that it is about the beginning of football (soccer for Americans). I so wish my husband was alive to share it with him. He was a pro soccer player when he was young. And he went to England as part of the Chilean team in 1962. Only in the US football is called soccer. The rest of the world calls it football and it is played with the player´s feet. In our football, using the hands is a foul. It is weird how games are changed from country to country. Which sort of football do they play in your country?

We have two types of rugby as well as soccer and Australian Rules football. I'm glad you've found an interesting serial to watch.

Not many people are interested in rugby here. But football is a MUST for everyone.

You can call it any other way in our country. I hope you can watch it with friends.

You are right, only the United States call football "soccer" and their football is NOT football because it involves extensive use of the hands for throwing, catching, and carrying the ball.

The serial was almost a documentary because the football part was how the game began.
