Shoot me if I buy one more plastic container

The head of maintenance showed up here about an hour ago to check out the shelf situation. He thinks it is just a matter of putting new clips in whatever that means. He told me I had to empty the cabinet. Fine.
OMFG I found so many Rubbermaid Takealong containers, lids, plastic quart containers/lids. . . Like easily 75% more than I thought I had here. It is insane. And to think that I bought myself a bento box thing for work lunches this year. I could have just been using this crap and literally throwing it away instead of bringing it back to wash.
It really is shocking how many of these containers I have and it takes a lot to shock me.
Should be fun trying to organize all of this stuff back in the cabinets after the maintenance guy is done with the shelves. Oh boy.

And how many empty margarine and yogurt containers do you have?

Mom used to keep every plastic container food came in so she could store leftovers or send them with someone for their lunches.

@DaddyEvil My mom did too, and now I'm finding I'm saving them, even though I'm not a mom and rarely have leftovers.

I have a ton too. I keep a lot of them in a laundry basket on the large bottom shelf. My husband kept every potato salad and coleslaw container.

Be thankful you aren’t a southerner. You’d have 60,000 Tupperware bowls and none of the lids would fit!!!

If you have any mom-friends that work and/or take food to work, or whatever, share with them. When I used to pack a lunch I used them daily, and my kids often used them. Keep what you need and share the rest!
