I had a nice afternoon at the Labor Day festival

It was a lot like the fall festival which should be coming up in October..not quite as many fall displays or attendees though. I found some acquaintances there and was able to chat them up for awhile. The BBQ smell permeated the air, and a country rock band was playing. Awesome. The weather today was better than the real fall festival which is usually about the first week of October. It was a warm and dry day like yesterday..no humidity. PTL! How did you spend your Saturday afternoon?

The weather has been unseasonably nice! I was on the computer and then just worked in my word puzzle books.

Yes, so much fun, when it is like this. Plus the cool thing is we have another two weeks oft this, after that I assume the muggies will be back, but the days will be shorter..and I doubt it will be too terrible.

I know. It's just perfect, and we are getting far more than our quota of perfect days this year..especially considering this time of the year. Even if the last half of September is hot it will have been worth it.

@snowy22315 As much as I love the weather, I don't love the season allergies that I suffer from at this time of the year. They became full fledged yesterday. Keeping busy is a must so that I don't scratch my skin off.

Dale cut down a tree with the help of his tractor. We had leftover veggie venison soup for dinner.

Great? It was pleasant. Something Enjoyable. I have never had venison stew. I don't know anybody who hunts.

@snowy22315 We really enjoy venison, but we only eat deer that Dale has cut and cleaned. Not sure if his health will let him hunt this year. Really sad.

I think they went out of their way to provide the workers with a wonderful evening, as it deserves, and that it was worth every sacrifice they make as an important part of an organization.Happy weekend, continue having a great time.

Mine was not nearly as fun as yours. I did laundry. Made some marinara sauce, and then I took a little much needed nap! Your day sounds like more fun.

No matter what, there is usually laundry to do and food to fix. That's just life. It was an OK day, no tragedies or sudden mishaps, I call that a win.
