Gotta Get Busy

Soon. I need to let the peach butter cook for about 5 hours. But it doesn't need much attention from me while it's cooking. The time consuming part for me is getting them peeled. Hubby helps with that.
Once those are started I will pick some grapes. I know those won't take a lot of time to cook down. And I have a straining method that works great.
Hopefully I can spend some time outside today too. Hope you have a good day.

We have a 15% chance of rain today... and it's sprinkling. We might get thunderstorms later. It's 68F right now and might reach 83F by this afternoon. (The forecast was saying 86F today.)
I've never heard of peach butter. Is it better than apple butter? Pretty loves apple butter!
Hoep you have some fun today.

@DaddyEvil I will. Finally got it jarred. What splattered on me while I was blending it tasted good. I didn't add any spices to this batch

@wolfgirl569 Of course. You said you were doing that - using the slow cooker.

@wolfgirl569 that is good. We used that method when we canned the large yellow peaches at my grandmother's home.

We have never had it. But should like it. These were ripe enough I didn't need to do that. Many came right off.

Maybe you should give all your canning projects a name and label. You might get some regular customers at the auction that look for your stuff. I know some people around here who have a farmette and grow alot of stuff, they sell their relishes and other stuff under a label at the Farmer's market. You could also experiment with spicy varieties and stuff like that.

I am sure that your peach butter will be out of this world delicious.
I like peaches, but since my husband doesn't really care for them, I rarely buy them, and when I do only a couple for me to eat before they go bad.
So, as a result, I feel like I love them.
I hope that you can spend some time outdoors today, it is a beautiful day here.
