I am more of a person that enjoys breezes, the windows open with the fans on during hot weather unless it is super hot with no breeze.
My daughter doesn't like the windows open and her boyfriend likes it freezing no matter how it effects other people just as long as it suits him. UGH!

We rarely open windows. I keep a fan blowing in my room year round and the A/C running from late spring until it starts getting cold in the fall.

@DaddyEvil Pollen and Ragweed bother me. and sometimes the ragweed out back here bother's me a lot! My daughter said that I can't open the windows because the pollen bother's her and SHE also said the allergist said that she is allergic to every tree that there is. Yet she goes out with her boyfriend when he is not working, lol Sleeping on the concrete!!!!!! I couldn't do that.

@dfollin Pollens, molds and dust all set off my allergies so it's year round here. (I didn't use to have any problems with allergies until I reached my mid-30s and then everything started causing allergic reactions. Doctors tell me I should move to Arizona to get away from this crap but I'd rather stay here where I'm not broiling alive!)
Of course she goes out with her bf... Women are crazy.

Same here. With open windows the fresh breeze and fans on is my choice

Luckily, I moved from Minnesota to Washington State back in 1989. Minnesota is a state of extremes. Summers are normally into the 90's and hit 100 quite often but in the winters, it is normal to be 25 below zero with wind chills making it 40 below. It's really nice in the spring and fall, lol.
Out here, there is no need for air conditioning. A fan in the summer and a space heater in the winter is usually enough. It can get warm but its short lived. A few days of upper 80's and even less over 90.
Since 1989, it has been below freezing several times and it will snow, but the snow melts in a few days. It can get below freezing but only a few times a year.
I always hated the AC and preferred windows open with fans. My son lives a few hours south of me and it gets pretty hot. He runs the AC to the point where I needed a blanket, lol. They all love the AC.
I haven't used the main heater or my portable AC in over ten years. In fact, my portable AC has never been used.

I just like to be comfortable. Had to turn on the heat the past few days. It was just too cold in the evenings.

@LindaOHio It does! And there is not a thing I can do about it. When my lease is up I can move out, but I have to have a place set for me 60 days in advance. That is in February and winter (cold) will be almost over. But I cannot afford to do that! I don't get enough money or have a good enough credit rating to qualify.

I prefer fan to AC,but natural wind is my favourite.Yesterday i stay beside a river at evening, enjoyed natural wind, which is happier than both fan and AC.

We have fans on everywhere in the summer. My grandson's room is like an oven. Mine is too unless I get the A/C going constantly. Such a hot summer this time around. It was miserable. I like fresh air too.

@dfollin .......If it gets above 85 it's too hot for me. It's been in the high 90s lately. And when there is cooking going on downstairs it rises and makes my room stifling.

I do wish that we had air con…..it’s not really a thing in houses in the UK. It tends only to be workplaces and restaurants etc here.

We only have fans here in my country and I like the fan open especially when it's rainy season.

@cabuyogty This is an apartment and I have no chimney. There is a heater but my daughter's boyfriend won't allow it to be on. I don't want it on till winter, but he doesn't care, only what makes him comfortable! I have a little space heater in my room.
