Time for the thick Winter trousers I think…..

So, it’s only the first week of September and already the nights are getting darker earlier. The fire has gone on and the electric blanket is being used some nights. Oh dear …..Summer we loved you, and miss you already ! Today we got up to rain, rain and yes, even more rain….. It was cold too…..often is when it’s raining I know ….. Anyway, I looked at my Summer trousers and lightweight shoes……I looked at the dull, wet, rain and the puddles ….. I decided it was time to get out my thick, warm, cozy, trousers. My goodness, I felt warmer as soon as I put them on. Have you noticed a change in the weather ? Are you making different choices about which clothes you are wearing ?

Apparently, it stays warm longer here than it does there. We're getting some mornings at 10C but the day warms up to 80F/27C by midafternoon. No reason to think about warmer clothes yet. (When the temp is 10C I'll think about putting on long jeans, a tee shirt with short sleeves and real tennis shoes but not until then. Pretty is colder natured than I am and she starts wearing jackets at 69F/20C) It's currently raining here but the temp is still 65F/18C right now, so very comfortable outside for me. Uhm... how early is it getting dark there? The sun set yesterday here around 7:30 pm.

Not sure what time but even Mom commented that she is drawing the curtains earlier due to it getting darker earlier…..I will try and take note tonight what time we close the curtains.

Today is still a fairly warm day but our nights definitely have gotten colder. Pretty soon I'll have to get out my winter bedding so I don't freeze all night. I love being snuggled under warm blankets. As for clothes, I just really switch from short sleeve tops to long sleeves or sweaters.

We use the same bedding but I do have an electric blanket ….. I will wear thicker trousers but still wear short sleeves , most of the time. I don’t like anything on my arms really, only short sleeves.

It’s still hot in Oklahoma. We don’t cool off until October, although I can see it cooling off a few weeks early this year. I just wish it weren’t so humid.

It is cooler here, but I have only worn pants twice I think. Next week, I think it will become really fall like. I may have to break out some sweatpants.

The weather has definitely changed here. I hear that winter is not supposed to be bad; but it's gotten cooler much earlier than usual.
