The citizens of Chicago Illinois accepted the challenge from the Chicago Ducky Derby which the money that the persons who paid $10 dollars to have their rubber ducks travel on the Chicago River to raise money for the Illinois Special Olympics. More than 82,000 rubber ducks entered the race on Thursday August 7 when the rubber ducks were dumped into the river and the winning entry in the race could win prizes like an automobile, Chicago Cubs baseball tickets and $2,500 cash. The race was successful for the Illinois Special Olympics since nearly $600,000 dollars was raised for their charity. Link is upi.com/3331754660308 via @upi

I just hope that a cleanup was done too, and all of those rubber ducks were removed from the river.
