The muscle weakness and pain in the thighs, the doctor says is the result of protein deficiency I thought I was eating enough but apparently I am not I was happy with my blood report but must mention it did not talk about protein I have never done protein tests. I wonder if protein deficiency results in weight loss but I have not Anyway I wil have to trust the doctor and do something to increase my protein consumption He prescribed protein powder for which I have placed an order.

@allknowing That is true; we never expect anything, but it just happens. I remember my mother, who was never sick for the majority of her life, but she did have rheumatic heart disease when she was younger, but she grew up pretty healthy and slim all her life until cancer struck out of nowhere and took her life.

I'm glad you talked with your doctor about your problems and hope the protein powder helps correct those problems. Vegetarians often need help getting enough protein in their diets.
