I told the front desk person it needed a valve gasket cover when I gave her the information from the other garage..well it was never ordered. Now of course their parts supplier won't have it available until tomorrow, and she doesn't know when it will come in. Very annoying. I know one time they saved me a ton of money doing the same work another garage wanted to charge 700 dollars more for, but with this work maybe a 200 dollar difference..Not that much. Plus they always end up taking a week to repair the car. So freaking annoying. Also. When I had my other car there once they didn't turn the check engine life off and I had to take it back There was another place close to here that I wanted to use, but I don't know what is up with them.

Sounds like they are lacking in the service department!! I hope the gasket comes in quickly and they get it on quickly also.

I think the best I can hope for is that it gets done by the end of the day tomorrow.

@snowy22315 I could save you a lot of money if you lived near me. But not only would you not want to leave your family, but you don’t want tornadoes or 110 degree summers.

It is ridiculous to take so long on a vehicle. Plus like I said they are kind of sloppy. I bet they won't even do the small extra thing I asked them to. I will try not to take their again. I didn't want to this time, but I knew they would have a decent price.

@snowy22315 - I agree that it's ridiculous to take so long. Well at least you will have a decent price.

Annoying indeed. Some of these places seem really incompetent.

I found out just how hard it could be to get a car fixed when that lady ran into me and crushed my fender. It took months to get the parts, it was the end of the pandemic but nothing was in stock. They finally arrived, and when they did, the fender was supposed to be for the left front--and they sent the right front, so I had to wait even longer. Such a hassle! I am sorry you are going through this.

Thanks, there is always the fear it won't come in when it is supposed to or it will be the wrong part or something. I am literally going to be sweating bullets until this is done. Thanks for your sympathy. I shouldn't have even put that thought out there! It will be the right part and will be done tomorrow!

@snowy22315 I know how frustrated I was when it all went down and took so, so long. I was so glad to see my car again, all fixed and in one piece!

Saving $200 is awesome but when you have to deal with all the other issues you’ve seen with them you start to question is it really worth it going there.

The repair department is really incovenient and not so good at getting the job done. If we do not go to the dealership, we have a 'go to' garage that is excellent.
