Autumn cure.

It’s decidedly autumnal in my little corner of Ireland today, though summer’s not yet quite defeated. A day of rain, wind and falling leaves like this calls for stewed apples and I can hear a chorus of approval from @traceyjayne at such a thought. So the tart cooking apples have been peeled and cored and their flesh has been chopped, put in the saucepan and onto the stove to stew in cinnamon and cloves. A molitious warmth has pervaded the whole house, not just the scullery, and we can even sense a bit of Christmas coming on which is unfortunate because I dislike Christmas. But stewed apples will make everything alright.
