A shout-out for ChatGPT

I know people have trouble with AI, (as in ‘artificial intelligence’ and not ‘artificial insemination’)! We use ChatGPT for getting information about a whole range of subjects. We know we need to check the reliability of its findings.
So, that’s a bit of background. We are thinking of taking the motor-home up to Exmouth and wanted to know the cost of a powered caravan site. If you Google it, you first have to decide which website to log onto. We always try to go to the park website and dodge the ‘middlemen’ who all take a cut from your fees. However, unless you put in the actual dates, which we don’t know yet, you can’t get a price estimate. So off we go to good old ChapGPT.
It came up with the cost of the various caravan parks. We asked a few more questions and now have a list of tourist attractions in the area that are accessible with a motor-home and with sealed roads and/or only short stretches of good gravel roads. I think AI is only as good as the person using it, which sounds a bit like bragging and perhaps it is but we do find it very useful at times.
The photo is from our last trip. I like the slightly 'arty' (artistic) look of it.

It's all the time about how we can use what it's available that makes the difference. ChatGPT is good in problem-solving. Of course users should be aware of potential information inaccuracies. A human review is always a must. I have read some really funy answers given by ChatGPT.

It is usually pretty good, but relying on it too much is probably not a good idea

I've always avoided ChatGPT but I'm glad you're getting it to sit up and bark for you.

Some of our friends tell us all about the rubbish it spits out but it's always hearsay from their friends. As long as you know the info could be wrong or whatever then why not make use of it? It can save a huge amount of time sometimes.

I'm glad you're getting some good use out of it. I've only used it to create a couple of pictures for me.

@JudyEv I'm very leery of AI; but it has made some cool pictures.
