Mel ( Melanie ….don't call me that ! ) was a lady who I worked with for about 9 years. She was always ready for a chat and enjoyed going out and about. One place that we both loved was Stratford ….William Shakespeare country ….and although we never went there together we would often recommend to each other places to go for good or drink or entertainment etc.
She was a larger lady and about five years ago she had a very serious car accident and lost a lot of weight very quickly. This and her injuries caused her organs to start failing. She battled on as best she could but had to give up work.
She had been on dialysis for the past couple of years.
Sadly she lost her fight last month and it was her funeral today.
I will always remember her huge smile and friendship
R.I.P Mel

Thank you ….she was married and had a daughter and young Grandson. I didn’t post at the time but thought a tribute today would be the right thing to do.

Sad to learn about your good friend's demise. Have courage. I had a close shave twice while riding a bike with a person driving the bike. I didn't know he was drunk. I was lucky to survive and one of the two persons lost their legs I was luckily survived luckily.
RIP.
