Do you enjoy physical competitions?

I don’t necessarily mean participating in physical competitions. I played basketball in elementary, junior high, and one year of high school, and I never enjoyed that. However, I used to watch America Ninja Warrior, which if you’ve seen (and other countries have their versions), has nothing to do with martial arts, but just great physical prowess. The stories behind the contestants (sometimes cancer survivors, previously overweight people…) and how they got there can be very inspiring. I’d count shows like Survivor as physical competitions too, and heck, even Wipeout, with those crazy physical challenges. Do you like watching physical competitions? Do you like competing in them? Regular sports count too, but out of the norm competitions are what I was thinking about this morning.

When these kinds of shows came out it was usually the summer time, and we were always outside. So, I never really got into them.

I used to be a bodybuilder and competed in that. I used to watch some of the old competition games back in the 90s and 00s. I didn't really care for sports in school... I didn't like softball, basketball and football. I did enjoy bowling when we had that for gym classes. I continued to bowl for years after graduating from school.

I used to watch american ninja warrior and yes some of the backstories were inspiring. I think I preferred wipe out after to avoid tears and just be able to cheer on and laugh off any mishaps. I love watching dance competitions sometimes or ice skaters or roller skaters. Not sure if all those count though.

I always wanted to do Wipeout, but I know I would have hurt myself in the process.

I don't watch these but we don't watch much TV anyway. I sometimes wonder why people would put their bodies through so much.

I used to play more physical sports such as football (soccer if you are an American) and basketball when I was younger. I used to be in a football team too before life became a challenge to me.

I used to watch Survivor, Wipeout, Amazing Race and a bunch of other competition shows; but I'm on a game show binge right now. I watch my reality shows and the Game Show Network.

I do enjoy watching these competitions. They offer a different type of excitement and inspiration compared to typical sports.
