Had my first ever Maccys meal / myLot

Yes, previously I had a chocolate milkshake about 35 years ago. 6 years ago I had a sausage and egg McMuffin. That’s it. I am not a Maccys sort of girl ! Today we were in town and The Mister was starving …..no change there ….the Grandkids mentioned Maccys so we went there. They have a promotion on so I had a plain cheeseburger, four chicken nuggets and sweet and sour dip, fries and a coke ….all that for a fiver. It actually wasn’t too bad !

I like McDonald's but Pretty doesn't so I don't get to eat there very often anymore. They're one of the places I'd go when I got off work and eat the food before I got home. Once in a while Pretty will get chicken nuggets there. We both like their milkshakes.

@Traceyjayne Do you have a Sonic Drive-in there? Their milkshakes are better than McDonald's. I prefer wedge fries although, if I'm hungry enough, I'll eat McDonald's fries, too. I usually order onion rings, though.

That’s quite a long gap between visits! Sometimes it’s fun to give places like that another try, especially when there’s a good deal on. Your meal sounds like a real bargain for a fiver, and I’m glad it turned out better than you expected. The grandkids must have been happy too.

They, unfortunately, are used to eating at Maccys. I don’t really like that sort of food or place. It was a case of ‘ needs must ‘
