As many of you know, I love to wander around the internet finding interesting things to write about and share here. Last night I got to watching some camping videos on YouTube. Some had some odd stories to tell. They sure use the 'f' word a lot. One told a story about a camping spot he had set up and at night he started hearing either coyotes or hunting dogs. He thought it was the latter because he thought he heard men's voices. Like maybe they were training the dogs. Strange to hear in the night. Another told of their experience with their first camping van. They had just gotten it and hadn't put all their stuff in it yet. Thankfully because it started fire. Very little was left when the firemen were done putting it out. Poor folks. This next one was rather funny, and I wondered if he had just made it up. But this guy in England found what he thought was a good place to car camp. It was dark out, but he started seeing several different men wondering around the parking area. He wondered what was going on, so he Googled the area. Come to find out it was a 'buggery' spot for gay guys. Needless to say, he hurriedly left the area. This last one I may subscribe to. It is done by a woman (Derena) who enjoys checking out places that have interesting legends or myths surrounding them in California. The creepier the better she says. So, I may have some material for future posts.

I do a lot of wilderness camping, backpacking and tent camping, and I have several really good camping stories to tell. In fact, I can't remember for sure, but I think I wrote about a few of them here on myLot. Most of them seemed scary at the time, but ended up being humorous in the light of day.

@moffittjc .......That would be nice. If I only had the transportation to get out there. I wonder how those spots where I used to camp are doing without me. Hehe I imagine you would have some good stories to tell. We have some funny stories to tell. How we got stuck one time and such as that.

@celticeagle I continue to enjoy camping more and more as I get older. It’s nice to get a break from the hectic world and get back to closeness with nature. And it seems there is always a good story to tell with each camping trip.

Very odd. I am not a camper or even a glamper.

Oh yes, it is really fun to watch the camping video. Not fun when you participate it as a military man. Does not help by the depressing weather and the fact that there were a lot of other activities and lots of curses.

We enjoyed camping as a family when all the kids were young. It got rather hard as they were growing up, what with various jobs, sports teams and games, etc. But it was fun and we enjoyed it a lot.

@celticeagle I remember fun nights of tent camping with the kids, and then for awhile the grandparents had a big camper. They reached the point that they couldn't handle it anymore but the family was free to use it for some time, and we did.
