Wheee! I will take my Martin D-18 guitar in for repair this week. Have you ever had anything break on you? Did the Warranty work?

I bought one of my "elite" guitars about 12 years ago from Guitar Center. Before I worked there. It cost about $2200..It is a Martin D-18,made in the US,in Nazareth PA. Unfortunately, it was made in an era when Martin binding shrunk, leading to it detaching from the body of the guitar. It has happened again,so I will be taking this this thing in for Warranty work this forthcoming week. It's a beautiful guitar, with great sound and a quilted mahogany back (a rare thing), but I fear it will never be "perfect." Have you ever taken an expensive item in for Warranty work? Did the Warranty work?

The most expensive thing I've had to have replaced lately is the car battery. We paid $220 for a new one at Christmas this last year and have gotten it replaced twice this summer. Thank goodness for the warranty!

Just now
@TheHorse A mechanic told me a couple of days ago that there has to be a short in the motor somewhere that is causing the battery to drain, ruining it. We had the motor rebuilt in January this year for $1,700.

I took my car after I bought it new every year for warranty work. I hope your guitar gets fixed good as new.
